BTC Membership Terms & Conditions

BTC membership is valid from 01/08/2009 to 31/07/2010 and is the same price all season.

Membership is subject to the BTC Membership Terms and Conditions.  The latest version is available on the BTC website www.bunburyturfclub.com.au or from the Race Day Office.

Full membership is $185 per year; concession membership is $135 per year.  All prices include GST.

Concession prices apply to holders of any government-issued concession card and to holders of Australian Seniors cards.  Please note that most clubs provide concession memberships only to Age Pension card holders.

Code of Conduct
BTC members and their guests shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner at all times whilst on the premises of the BTC.  Any conduct deemed unacceptable my result in suspension or loss of membership with no refund at the discretion of the BTC committee and management.  Unacceptable behaviour includes foul or abusive language; and menacing or offensive behaviour towards other members, patrons or staff.  Please also note that members will be held responsible for any damage to BTC property by themselves or their guests.  Chargeable damage includes drawing and writing on table cloths.

Members’ Car Park
Exclusive members’ parking is available via gate 4.  For proof of identification and membership, BTC members are required to show their membership card to gain access to the Members’ Car Park.  On Bunbury Cup Day and Bunbury Stakes Day, an alternative Members’ Car Park will be provided.  Members’ parking is provided until the car park capacity is reached.

Members’ Entry
Members entry is primarily through the Members’ Gate, gate 4.  If members choose to use the Main Gate, please be aware that you are required to line up and you can expect a delay, as is the case with entry to any event.  We ask that members do not access the grounds via the horse gate entry.

Due to liquor license legislation, the Bunbury Turf Club must account for the number of members and members’ guests at each race meeting.  To enable us to meet this requirement, all BTC members must identify themselves and their guest at the Members’ Gate or the Main Gate by showing their membership and guest cards.  We will register the attendance of members and their guest (if applicable) via the register. 

Members must clearly show their membership card to the gate and door attendants to gain access to the grounds and member areas.

Members’ Race Book
All BTC member card holders receive one (1) free race book at every race meeting.  Please collect your free race book at the Main Gate or Members’ Gate by presenting your members’ card.  Guest card holders must purchase their race book if required. 

Children
Children are permitted with BTC members in member areas on all race days except Bunbury Cup Day, Bunbury Stakes Day and Melbourne Cup Day.  To enable security to identify members’ children, members are required to collect a wristband for each child from the Race Day Office on the race day they attend.  Children are to be supervised at all times. 

Members’ Access
Members have access to the Heron Bridge Members’ Lounge and Rogan Josh Members’ Deck on non-feature race days.  Members must clearly show their BTC membership card at all times.  Members’ guests must clearly show their BTC guest card at all times.

Please note that automatic, free access to member areas is NOT GUARANTEED.  We reserve the right to alter access conditions to member areas based on capacity; special events; or other unforeseen circumstances.  We will endeavour to inform members of these changes where possible.

Members must clearly show their membership card to the gate and door attendants to gain access to the grounds and member areas. 

Members Hospitality
The full Café menu can be ordered by members in the Heron Bridge Members Deck and your meal will be delivered to your table by hospitality staff.  The kitchen is open every race meeting from 11am til 4pm. 

Food from all on course catering outlets can be consumed in member areas.  No other food or drinks are to be taken into member areas.

Afternoon tea may on some occasions be provided to members free of charge by the BTC.  The BTC does not however guarantee the menu or service time. 

Tea and coffee stations and filtered water are provided in member areas free of charge by the BTC.  Please inform the hospitality staff of any problems or shortages.

For safety and insurance purposes, BTC members may not access the kitchen areas or fridges in member areas.  Members are not expected to do the dishes.

For safety and insurance purposes, BTC members may not re-arrange furniture in member areas.  Please inform the hospitality staff of any problems with furniture or equipment.

Bookings for Member Areas
Members may reserve tables in the Heron Bridge Members’ Lounge and the Rogan Josh Members’ Deck by contacting the Race Day Office to make a booking on a weekly basis.  To guarantee a table reservation on the race day, members must arrive before the first race or the table will be released.  Seasonal bookings CANNOT be made.

Please note that table bookings are not available for special event days unless specified.  We reserve the right to alter table booking conditions for special events or due to unforeseen circumstances.

Members’ Day Pass
BTC members will be able to bring additional guests into member areas using the Member Day Pass.  The Member Day Pass is available for purchase from the Race Day Office for $10 on race days.  Member Day Passes cannot be pre-purchased.  This pass will allow access to member areas for the day purchased.  It does not allow access into the race course.

Member Day Passes are not available for purchase on special event days, such as Melbourne Cup Day, Bunbury Stakes Day and Bunbury Cup Day, and are subject to availability.

Members’ Dress Code
Gentlemen: 

  • Gentlemen are required to wear a collared shirt with either dress shorts or trousers. 
  • Enclosed footwear, other than joggers, is required at all times.

Ladies:

  • Ladies are required to wear either a dress, trousers, skirt or dress shorts with a blouse or top.
  • Singlet tops, jogging shoes and thongs are not permitted.

Please note:

  • Denim is not acceptable in the Rogan Josh Members’ Deck.
  • Denim may be worn in the Heron Bridge Members’ Lounge.  Ripped denim is not permitted.
  • Offensive slogans on attire are not permitted.

We ask all members to please inform their guests of the BTC Members’ Dress Code to avoid embarrassment.
