THE BULL AND BUSH TAVERN CUP PRELUDE DAY

 

The Bunbury Turf Club is excited to announce The Bull and Bush Tavern as the new sponsor of the Cup Prelude (formerly AHA Cup) and the associated race meeting. The race meeting will continue its family theme in 2018 with plenty of activities for the whole family including a Kids Fashions on the Field competition.

The Bull and Bush Tavern Cup Prelude Day will commence the South West Autumn Racing Carnival to be held on Sunday 11 March, 2018 and will remain the traditional lead-up event for the Bunbury Cup. The Bull and Bush Tavern Cup Prelude is a $100,000 Listed race over 2000 metres and falls a fortnight before the $120,000 Listed Bunbury Cup over 2200 metres.

The super impressive Material Man trained by Justin Warwick was able to capture Cup Prelude/Cup double in 2017.

With significant changes to the South West Autumn Racing Carnival in 2018, the Amelia Park Bunbury Stakes Day will be held on Wednesday 21 March with the XXXX Gold Bunbury Cup Day on Sunday 25 March, 2018.

The Bunbury Turf Club is also keen to acknowledge the contribution of The Prince of Wales Hotel who has supported Cup Prelude Day for the past 5 seasons. The value of sponsorship to the Bunbury Turf Club cannot be undervalued as it allows additional funds to be reinvested back in to the facilities for the benefit of participants, Members and patrons.
